Where disclosures appear
Every article that contains affiliate links carries a visible disclosure line directly beneath its "Top picks" heading — on the same screen as the links themselves, so you never have to hunt for it. Pages with Amazon links additionally carry the statement: "As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases."
When you click an outbound link on this site, you route through an interstitial page at /go that shows the destination and a countdown before continuing — a second, explicit moment of disclosure before you leave.
How links are labeled
Affiliate links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" attributes, which tell search engines the link is monetized. That labeling is for search engines; the visible disclosure described above is for you.
What commissions don't do
- They don't decide winners. Our comparison criteria are fixed before we look at commission terms, and several products we rate highest carry no affiliate relationship at all.
- They don't set prices. Prices shown on this site, when shown at all, were accurate when we last checked the source page — the outbound link takes you to the current price.
- They don't buy silence. When a product has a real drawback, the drawback goes on the page.
Which programs we participate in
We participate in affiliate programs operated by retailers and networks relevant to the categories we cover. Programs are added or removed over time; this page and the per-article disclosures are kept in step with what is actually on the site.
